I put my comment on part 1 of this scene, but it really should have gone here. I was in high school when this came out in 1997. (Yeah, showing my age here.) There was this girl as everyone was leaving the theater who was like, "I can't believe they killed Leo! I mean, I just started bawling when they killed Leo!" I remember having some really choice words for her. First, it's not like they killed the actor himself. (Though from things I've read since, Cameron was more concerned with getting the perfect shot than with the safety of his cast.) But this girl had clearly lost sight of the fact that 1500 very real people died in this sinking. It was a great movie, and sure, Jack and Rose's characters were a means of telling a dramatic story, but the horrors of the sinking were very real.

0:11 one of my favorite shots of the movie. Really shows you just how many people were in the water. Only scarier part is this was all happened in near pitch black darkness

Well, this video as good as it is, ends before she blows the whistle. Disappointing, a very highly emotional scene (after many), but not included.
The panic of being in that water right after is terrifying.
It was a moonless night. When the lights went out, it essentially was pitch black.
Alcohol does reduce core body temperature but the baker was so hammered that he was likely able to stay extremely relaxed going into the freezing ocean water. He may not have even experienced the cold shock response that the sober passengers did.
That close up shot of Rose that slowly pans out revealing the hundreds struggling hopelessly around her is so powerful and heartbreaking. I've seen this movie at least a hundred times since 97 and that shot never fails to bring on the tears. Many say the shot with all the bodies later after all has gone silent is worse, but I always can't help but think that at least by then their suffering was over. Just an incredible sequence, and absolute masterpiece in both storytelling and filmmaking.
This is my favorite seen from the tincture movie
I have been to a Titanic museum
Right before this: Captain’s death, First funnel falling, Fabrizio’s death, Grand Staircase flooding, and Cora’s death.
Nobody is going to talk about how Cal loved Rose ! I would definitely fall for that man !
So he can abuse you? He didn’t love her.
@@BDavis820 Abuse? Seriously? He’s such a respectful loving man! He could get any girl he wants but chose Rose! Gave her all he could ! She spit on his face! cheated with another man ! Yet he would do anything to keep her safe !! Even when it all ends! He was searching for her! And was willing to start over! That’s true love
@@Litigation-Queen Are you serious? She was his property. She had the necklace! Thats why he looked for her. A loving man who bribed an officer? Have you actually watched the movie?
@@BDavis820girl ! It’s about prospective! She was never his property, if she was, she couldn’t have fooled him all those three days missing around with Jack! He loved her, she lied to him for money, she never loved him! Yes the slap scene was awful! Not gonna justify it! Yet compared to what she did to Cal! She didn’t even have the audacity to officially dump him! Cause she didn’t want her mother to become poor ! That’s selfishness! He cherished her and till the last scene was worried about her! Haven’t you seen the last scenes where he thought another redheaded girl was rose ! The way he was looking for her and willing to forgive all of her mistakes!
@@Litigation-Queen I didn’t even read this because I’m sure it’s full of nonsense. If you are a woman and you think Cal is a catch then you need help. He has no respect for women if that’s what you want then go for.
6:15 That’s most likely the head baker that was so unbelievably wasted that despite spending a *significant* amount of time in the water the amount of alcohol in his body fought off hypothermia and he actually survived because of it.
Like Cathie bates character old and fat no need to keep her.
I get saving women and children first but let’s be honest there should also be an age limit. Sorry elderly but I’d much rather save 40 under aged people than some 80 year olds. They’ve had enough and Jesus is calling them home
I totally would’ve been like Kate winslets husband or the other dudes, screw them women and children I have money and a lot of life to live. Leave the elderly
The priest was nice enough, unfortunately Jesus was on vacation that week. Should’ve tried Santa Claus he’s closer
STOP STEALING BRO ITS STOLEN
Its really cute when you make a mess that the elderly convinience store clerk in the background is gonna have to clean up by tossing a bunch of shit on the floor that if anyone steps on will make an even worse mess.
I have never seen a movie where I saw so many people die at once
Everybody dies.

The guy getting shocked will forever haunt me
If jack, would've been super drunk he would've survived, would've kept his body warm
This makes me cry......
112 years ago today the Titanic sunk😭😭💔💔 4/14/1912
Cause of death: Hypothermia, Suffocation, suicide, electrocution, explosion, and sharks
There were no sharks
This scene always gets me .... Oscar worthy, the ship sinks slowly.....in a shit stopping situation the ship goes down with the man dressed in white standing on the end of the ship finally going down....😬😬😬
Step1. Assign the proton spectrum for ibogamine Step 2. Get the girl Easy peasy, why didn't I think of that?
0:37 2:22am 1:37 2:23am probably when the bow hit bottom 2:37 2:24am 3:37 2:25am 4:37 2:26am likely when the Stern hit bottom
5:37 2:27am all of Titanic's main parts have reached the bottom but there could be some debris is still on the way down 6:37 2:28am worthless to say by now almost everyone is dead 7:37 2:29am 8:37 2:30am 9:37 2:31am the final minute we can go to at this time everyone is probably dead
7:40 Titanic has sunk this time in the sinking is approximately 2:20:40
The way she’s standing by her car❤❤❤❤
The contrast between the earlier chaos in the water and this scene not only makes you feel like you're there with here, but makes you wish you could go back to the brightness and noise before the ship sank. James Cameron is a god on Earth.

He gave her the plank 🥺
If you were there, would you have tried your luck or accepted your fate?
i would have tried my luck, im WAYYYY too stubborn to die like that
How do you like them Apple's? What's an apple to an orange? Joey 🧡
0:06 did they seriously put the howard dean scream. And this was like right after he did it 🤣
This movie came out in 1997. The “scream” was 2004.
1:36 Jack: not the time Rose!
Because I have everything to. How could anyone deal with anything? If I'm here then I'm always here.
Classic Eliot and Hardison
I’ve not had the opportunity to see this movie, yet. And something tells me I should.

1:57 After the priests recitation, we cut to this. Where and what am I looking at here?
A dead body floating in the flooded first class cafe (where Ismay and smith discussed the speed).
